
Kate Stoica

Kate has been a member of the board for less than one year. Kate holds a masters degree in creative art psychotherapy, and has worked as a child psychotherapist in early intervention settings, primary and post primary schools, not for profits and in private practice in Limerick City for eight years. Kate has worked in various roles in the community sector throughout her career, including family support, alternative care and youth work. Kate is certified in Theraplay level one and two, a dyadic child and family therapy that has been recognised by the Association of Play Therapy as one of seven seminal psychotherapies for children. Currently working in the area of youth Justice, Kate also holds qualifications in therapeutic play skills, child psychology, supervisory management and a higher diploma in Leadership.

Sean Sweeney
Director
Seán is a Development Officer with Ballyhoura Development for 4 years. Seán has supported communities, groups and business in the Ballyhoura area to access funding, develop plans, and capacitate themselves to the benefit of the area.
Seán has an Aeronautical Engineering and a Quality Engineering Degree from the University of Limerick, and Construction Certificate from Atlantic Technological University Sligo.
Sean’s works within the Ballyhoura Development Environment Team and applies his technical knowledge and expertise in the area of renewable energy solutions, retrofitting and sustainability for communities, groups and businesses.
As an Energy Mentor for the SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities, Seán is focussed on empowering communities to become Leaders in addressing the Climate and Energy Crisis. Developing and supporting solutions that ensure none are left behind in the transition and rural Ireland’s needs are met and supported.
