Marita Harnett

Clinical Lead

Marita commenced her role in Croom FRC in July 2024. She has a background in Social Care and is an accredited Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. She has over 15′ years experience working with families, children and young people in community and voluntary services. Her role is to provide clinical leadership across the therapeutic and counselling service in Croom FRC and to support and develop the family support services. She is responsible for clinical governance and ensures the safe and effective delivery of therapeutic services. 

Alison Collins

Play Therapist

Alison is a dedicated professional with over 7 years of experience in childcare, specializing in working with young children. Holding a Bechelor’s degree in Early Childhood Care and Education. Alison also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy, equipping them with specialized skills in supporting children through therapeutic play. Currently, Alison is in her final year of pursuing a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, further enhancing her expertise in helping children and adolescents navigate emotional and psychological challenges. Passionate about fostering positive developmental outcomes, Alison is committed to providing compassionate and effective support to children and families.

Aoife Leahy O'Brien

Therapy Services Administrator

Aoife commenced her role in Croom FRC in June 2026 as Therapy Services Administrator. Her background work is in Holistic therapies working as a reflexologist and Reiki practitioner. Aoife works alongside the Therapy team to ensure smooth communication, following strict GDPR protocols and upholds the highest standards in clinical data management. She brings empathy and a positive attitude to Croom FRC.

Brenda O'Keeffe

Gat counsellor

We provide counselling for people experiencing problem gambling, including those impacted by the gambler’s behaviour. The service is provided by Brenda, who is a fully accredited psychotherapist and has also undertaken additional training in University College Cork to respond to problem gambling.
