Campaigns

At Croom Family Resource Centre, we are proud to support a range of national awareness campaigns that promote wellbeing, equality, inclusion and community connection. Throughout the year, we mark these important occasions through workshops, guest speakers, coffee mornings, social media and community events that bring people together.

    • 16 days of Activism against Gender Based Violence– We support the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence by raising awareness of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence, sharing information on supports available, and encouraging conversations that promote safety, respect and equality.

    • International Women’s Day– Each year, we celebrate International Women’s Day by bringing women together to learn, connect and celebrate their achievements. Through activities such as movement sessions, cultural workshops, guest speakers and coffee mornings, we create opportunities to support women’s health and wellbeing and empowerment while strengthening community connections.

    • Hello, how are you?- As part of Mental Health Ireland’s Hello, How Are You? campaign, we host events that encourage people to connect, start conversations about mental health and reduce social isolation in a welcoming and supportive environment.
    • Go Purple Day- We proudly support Go Purple Day, an initiative led by An Garda Síochána and domestic abuse services across Ireland to raise awareness of domestic abuse and highlights the supports available to those experiencing it.
    • Men’s Health Week- We aim to encourage men to take part in our activities and programmes in our centre such as chair yoga during Men’s Health week to heighten awareness of preventable health problem for males of all ages.
    • One Million Stars- Croom Family Resource Centre are delighted to be supporting the One Million Stars project. This is an inclusive community arts project that encourages members of the community to weave a star- where each point represents hope, light and solidarity against Domestic Violence and all types of violence.
